Infrastructure development is a top priority: Minister Lamsal
Rupandehi, Oct 20: Infrastructure Development Minister Sunil Lamsal has announced that the construction of roads, health facilities, and educational infrastructure will take centre stage in the overall development of the Rupandehi region.
While inspecting the area, he emphasized that the necessary budget will be allocated for expanding roads, building rural pathways, establishing hospitals, and upgrading health posts and schools.
Minister Lamsal shared that plans to expand the four-lane road in two sections are moving forward this fiscal year. He mentioned that the detailed project report for the first five-kilometer section of the road has already been completed.
The bidding process for this road section will kick off soon. Additionally, he noted that preparations are underway to start the construction process after finalizing the DPR for another 15 kilometers of the first section.
Despite some delays in the second phase, Minister Lamsal aims to call for bids by the end of the current financial year.
The road expansion is expected to enhance local residents' mobility and boost the marketing of agricultural products, commercial activities, and overall economic growth in the region.
