Kathmandu, Oct 12: The Parliamentary Hearing Committee of the Federal Parliament has concluded the hearings for individuals nominated as ambassadors to four different countries. 
A meeting held today under the chairmanship of Committee Chairperson Bodh Narayan Shrestha completed the hearings for Dr Nischal Nath Pandey (nominated for India), Kalyan Raj Sharma (nominated for China), Charin Jung Thapa (nominated for the United States), and Gaurav Shamsher JBR (nominated for the United Kingdom).
During the meeting, all four nominees presented their respective work plans, while lawmakers raised inquiries and asked follow-up questions. The nominees outlined plans to further strengthen Nepal's diplomatic ties with the respective countries, expand bilateral relations, enhance the effectiveness of bilateral mechanisms, and improve bilateral trade and connectivity.
Prior to this, the committee heard complaints filed against the nominees. The committee announced that it would conduct hearings for the remaining nominees including Saru Joshi (Germany), Suresh Kumar Karna (Israel), Padmakshi Rana (Oman), Prof. Dr. Sangam Shrestha (Korea), and Prapti Sherchan (Spain) on Tuesday.
