6 soldiers, 8 terrorists killed in exchange of fire in NW Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Sept. 21 : Six Pakistani soldiers and eight terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire in Hangu district of the country's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the military said on Sunday.
According to the military's media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations, two army officers were among the six soldiers killed.
A sanitization operation is underway in the area to eliminate any other terrorists found there, it said.
The statement added that the security campaign would continue to counter terrorism in the country.
