 Kathmandu, Sept 21: The nation is currently under the influence of monsoon winds, supplemented by westerly wind patterns. The meteorological forecasting division reports that the monsoon trough is situated below its typical climatological position, with a low-pressure system developing over the North Andaman Sea. 
This system is expected to strengthen in the coming days and move west-northwest. Overcast conditions are predicted across the Himalayan and hilly regions, as well as Madhesh Province and parts of the Terai in Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces. 
In contrast, the Terai regions of Koshi, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim Provinces will experience partly cloudy weather. Moderate rain or snowfall, along with thunderstorms, is likely in isolated areas of the Himalayan and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, and scattered in Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim Provinces. 
Additionally, moderate rainfall with thunderstorms is expected in scattered locations of Madhesh Province and the Terai regions of Koshi and Bagmati, with isolated occurrences in Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim Provinces. 
Intense rainfall is anticipated in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces.
